Mark Fast, Really Fast.

So, I had the opportunity to go to the Mark Fast show today at 3pm. With hundreds of trend boards to get finished at work I wasn't sure I'd make it but I hop, skipped out of the office at 2:33pm and made it by the skin of my teeth.
I read today in the words of Hilary Alexander that "music can make or break a show" and "Gianni Versace observed so well, music and fashion were made for each other".
With this in mind, I was thrilled to hear the heavy bass drones of Breakage's remix of Claire Maguire's 'Aint Nobody' and therefore suggest this is played while you scroll through the show.

It really was a very special show. I was so impressed, each season Mark Fast manages to maintain an aesthetic that is both beautiful and sexy. His intricate textural dresses, a combination of relief work, fringing, cut out panels, frou frou layering, and sheer fine guage knit made for an exceptional treat. The colour palette was inspired by "desert mirages and tropical exoticism" with a warm feather-esque print focus.
I'm in love with the burnt orange two piece.

I got a quick peek at Eliza Doolitle sporting one of Fast's AW11 pieces. She looked stunning while being mobbed by the pap's.

At the end of the show I grabbed for a goodie bag and swiftly exited the tent, back to work for 4pm.

I had a stitch at the end of it, but it was worth it.
Perfect show!
